On a cold Thursday night a few weeks back, we decided to cook up some warm comfort food to kick of our weekly night of crafting. When it comes to our Thursday night recipe round-ups the three of us take turns bringing a main dish, a side, and dessert. And on this particular night we already had a hearty bowl of soup and country ham biscuits on the menu (more on those later—but YUM!) and so all we needed was the perfect something to finish it off. A dessert that screamed fall. Thanks to our craftspert friend, Kelly, we ended up with just that.
Allow me to introduce you to the dessert that just may change your life:
Rachael Ray's Super Stuffed Baked Apples A La Mode. Its what we like to call a "game changer".
It tastes every bit as good as it looks. We were practically drooling over these babies from the minute she started mixing up ingredients. They are everything you love about warm apple pie—apple, cinnamon, and the delicious way cold ice cream melts on a fresh-from-the oven dessert—but with even more texture and flavor.
It’s the kind of dessert that made me think seriously about sticking my entire face into the bowl. I’m only sort of kidding.
This recipe is courtesy of Rachel Ray and the Food Network, and you can find it here.
Warm up your weekend with a few of these. We promise we won’ t tell if you go back for seconds.
Happy weekend, ya'll!
